Change the location of Thunderbird profiles

Thunderbird profiles are now in ~/.thunderbird, which makes my home directory messy, could change it? Firefox is now in ~/.mozilla/firefox, so maybe you change it to ~/.mozilla/thunderbird ? Or go a step further, it's best to move both to ~/.config.
